1. 사랑 ( sarang ) dalam bahasa Korea artinya cinta .
2. 사랑 하다 ( sarang hada ) = mencintai. kata ini disebut Verb base ( kata kerja dasar ). Dalam contoh sederhana : 나는
너를 사랑 하다 ( Naneun neoreul sarang hada ) ” aku mencintaimu “
3. 사랑해 ( sarang hae ) : kata ini digunakan untuk menyatakan ke akraban ( intimate ). sedangkan halusnya ( polite) adalah 사랑 해요 ( sarang haeyo ).
4. 사랑합니다 ( sarang hamnida ) : mencintai.digunakan dalam kalimat formal -hormat.저는 당신을 사랑합니다 ( jeoneun dangsineul sarang hamnida ) “saya mencintai anda “. Sedangkan dalam kalimat pertanyaan, 사랑합니다 ( sarang hamnida ) dirubah menjadi 사랑합니까? ( sarang hamnika ? )
Catatan :
a. Huruf akhir ( bachim ) ㅂ ( b/p ) ketika bertemu dengan ㄴ( n ) maka dibaca ㅁ ( m ).받침 ㅂ, ㅍ [p] + ㄴ [n] / ㅁ [m]
─> [m.n , m.?] / [m.m]
b. Dalam bahasa korea dikenal ada bahasa pergaulan ( 반 말 ) dan bahasa halus/hormat ( 존대 말 ).
5. 사랑 하시다 ( sarang hasida ) adalah bentuk kehormatan ( kromo inggil dlm bahasa jawa ).
6. 사랑 하지 못 하다 ( sarang haji mot hada ): tidak mampu mencintai
7. 사랑 할수있다 ( sarang hal suitda ) : bisa mencintai
8. 사랑 할 수없다( sarang hal sueopda ) : tidak bisa mencintai. kata ini adalah bentuk negatif dari sarang hal suitda. Secara umum lebih sering digunakan kata ”사랑 하지 못 하다 ( sarang haji mot hada ): tidak mampu mencintai.

9. 사랑 할수록 ( sarang hal surok ) = semakin mencintai , misalnya ada lagunya Boohwal 사랑 할 수록, yang liriknya : 너를 사랑하면 할 수록 ( neoreul saranghamyeon hal surog ) = semakin lama mencintai maka akan semakin sayang.
